The original poster image was created in 2013. After requests for a wider border I created this poster with DPD/Signals at the top and an actual Signals card at the bottom. The images was created using the 'signals' on a 1970s era 'Signals' DPD card. Each of the 'Signals' and their corresponding number are in the same font. I used a different font for each of the 'Signals'.
In the 70s the Dallas Police Department issued officers an off-white card, with black bold text listing the fifty-three (53) Signals, or calls for service. The Signals were numbered 6 through 67 and used by the Dispatchers to somewhat disguise the nature of the calls patrol officers were sent on from the general public who might have scanners, etc. Of course those who had scanner either knew or learned our Signals, so they were no secret. Twelve (12) of the Signals were generally broadcast as "Code 3" emergency calls, (meaning Red Lights & Sirens were authorized) while another eight (8) call categories mig...
