In succeeding seasons twenty years after OSU's 1945 unbeaten footballers last beat OU, the sons (both literally and figuratively) conquered their in-state rivals in 1965: OSU 17 - OU 16, I was in the stands. The following year I was on the side line to witness history repeat itself with a second in a row one point win: OSU 15 - OU 14. (Why folks at the gate didn't tear off the ticket stub... I don't know.)
