Note 1: Net proceeds from the sale of this poster will be donated to the Dallas Police Museum. The department is developing the Dallas Police Museum to honor all the men and women, past, present and future of the Dallas Police Department.
Note 2: On what would have been Officer Tippit's 90th birthday (September 18) his family met the public at The Sixth Floor Museum At Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas. Moderated by longtime journalist and writer Hugh Aynesworth, Officer Tippit's widow, Marie and two of this three children: Brenda and Curtis, discussed their memories of Officer Tippit as police officer, husband and father. (The eldest son, Allan, passed away four months ago.) Many illuminating, heartwarming and heartbreaking details were shared with the audience.
