Mermaid Canvas Print

The State Fair Esplanade is a long paved walkway with grassy banks separated by a reflecting pool. The Esplanade runs on an angle from NW (on the North end) to SE (on the South end). Each end of the Esplanade's reflecting pool has two pylons. On the South end of the reflecting pool are the pylons with the sculptures: Tenor and Contralto. The pylons on the North end (attached to fountains) have two art deco motifs: a "Mermaid" on the south-facing side and a "Pegasus" on the north-facing side. The raised blue plaster face is incised into the red plaster background to create the outline of the Mermaid.
