Re: The Bank of America Tower (outlined in green)
Note: 1) The nearly two miles of argon lighting that outlined the 'green' building was replaced with multi-colored LED tubes in 2013. Though now capable of outlining the building in a rainbow of colors, it is most often seen in its original 'argon' green.
Note: 2) It is reported that original plans called for two 72-story towers, to be crowned with with stepped pyramids festooned in silver glazing with gold accents. However, since the entire business district is in the general flight path of Dallas' Love Field, which lies just over 5 miles NNW of downtown, the FAA nixed the pyramid crowns and the design was changed to gain FAA approval. The, second, matching tower was never constructed.
