Description
This Dallas Landmark building, completed in 1939, housed the headquarters for Magnolia Oil and later Mobil Oil, had a doubled-sided red neon sign of their iconic Pegasus 'flying' above the building. For many, many years and millions of eyes The Flying Red Horse was 'the' focal point of the Dallas skyline. Time and 'energy-saving' policies converged to darken this light. After years without it the Dallas skyline was lit anew at 12:01am, January 1, 2000. This poster commemorates that moment. It was an cold and misty New Year's Eve when fireworks lit the sky at midnight along with TFRH. The result was a red 'fog' surrounding the iconic sign that once again turned on it's derrick-like base for the first time in decades.
