Description
Remembering 9-11 Liberty's Flame Still Burns is a representation of loss and resilience of the American People. The ghost-like images of The World Trade Center's Twin Towers are a reminder of what stood as a beacon of economic freedom for the world, the erect flag pole topped by the American Bald Eagle represents the stalwart, never bending, American Spirit from which flies Old Glory symbolizing American Exceptionalism, the concept that never before in history had a government been so formed and codified by proclaiming and acknowledging that "we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness"; a government bound to the proposition that our rights are God-given and cannot be taken away by government and that this governance would be as Lincoln later phrased it "government of the people, by the people, for the people"! Lady Liberty stands unbent holding up the torch of Hope and the Flame of Liberty for all to see.
